Artist's Statement

In my work, I present familiar forms and objects in ways that challenge the viewer’s perception.  I am not necessarily trying to change the intrinsic meaning of what is presented – but I am trying to draw out some of the less obvious subtexts that exists.  The end result is often ostensibly whimsical.  However, these objects may reveal darker interpretations after further interaction.  There is also an extended arc running through my work that explores the meaning of theological constructs.
