Harbingers of Spring
More so than the random flocks of grackles and red-winged blackbirds milling about, orphaned gloves emerging from receding snowbanks are a sure sign that spring is coming soon. Happy Equinox!

Have recently been digging into some family history and found out that my Great Uncle Alphonse was an early recording artist for Victor Records. Managed to find one of his old victrola recordings on ebay. I never met him, but I am able to hear something he recorded 88 years ago. Update: Just found the Victor Discography on the UC Santa Barbara Library website. This is one of two records that Alphonse recorded in NYC on December 10, 1924.
